Pupils Learn About Building Site Safety

For Child Safety Week 2015, three hundred children between the ages of four and nine years old from Tees Valley, in conjunction with Keepmoat Homes and Stockton Borough Council, are learning about construction site dangers and health and safety on building sites. Constructions sites are one of the most dangerous types of work sites for adult workers, and can be even more so for inexperienced children who find themselves playing on or near these building sites.

The children will be learning how to spot hazards and how to react towards these hazards, they also will have the opportunity to learn about safety equipment and to try the equipment on. So far the children are having a lot of fun with the program, and the school staff and organizers say the feed back has been very positive and the children have been very engaged.
