International Research Team Develops Pipeline for Methylation Analysis

A research paper that was published in GigaScience, talks about a newly developed pipeline (SMAP) from researchers from Aarhus University Hospital that processes and analyzes data from reduced representation and whole-genome bisulphite sequencing procedures. Because the SMAP incorporates a mechanism for accounting for overlap in paired-end reads which can bias DMR detection and result in false positives, there is considerable improvement in how data is analogized using existing methods.
